LPI Welcomes Lunar Exploration Interns
June 1, 2010
The Lunar and Planetary Institute (LPI) is pleased to welcome the 2010 class of Lunar Exploration Summer Interns. The program provides students with an opportunity to be involved in exploration activities, thus effectively training a new generation of space exploration leaders.
Working in teams, the interns will identify sites on the lunar surface where the nation's science priorities can be accomplished. The ten-week program runs June 1, 2010, through August 6, 2010. Applications were accepted from graduate students in geology, planetary science, and related programs, as well as undergraduates with at least 50 semester hours of credit.
The Lunar Exploration Summer Intern Program is supported by funding from the LPI and the NASA Lunar Science Institute at NASA Ames Research Center.
