News and FundingAirborne Research Experiences for Educators ProjectShort Description:NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center in California hosts one of the most exciting professional development opportunities available to teachers. Undergraduate students and teachers partner to conduct research observations on the DC-8 aircraft and subsequently develop related curriculum. The teachers assist and mentor the undergraduate students. The teams participate in a six-week residential science research program and create curriculum-based activities resulting from their observations and experiences during the six weeks. This is a complete end-to-end residential research experience in airborne remote-sensing and atmospheric science.
