Scientists and Engineers as Educators at Fall AGU
About the Lecture
Martha Wawro and Edgar Bering will be presenting a workshop entitled Scientists and Engineers as Educators from 9-12 AM on December 11 in the San Francisco Marriott Marquis Salons 12-13.
Sharing your passion for geophysics, space physics and aeronomy with K-12 students is important- and you never get another chance to make a first impression. This workshop will give you insights into how to approach a classroom talk, a mentoring situation or informal interaction with after-school or scouting groups. You will learn tips and tricks and low-cost activities to make your interactions engaging with both students and teachers.
The curriculum materials for this workshop are provided by the AIAA (American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics) from whom the program is also based.
This workshop is possible through a partnership of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and AGU Education.
The workshop at the 2013 AGU Fall Meeting information is available at the Fall Meeting event calendar page: http://fallmeeting.agu.org/2013/events/scientists-and-engineers-as-educators-workshop/ .
Registration is required and space is limited, so register early by contacting Edgar A. Bering.
