Welcome to Explore! Space Colonies
Space colonies are hypothetical permanent living and working environments away from Earth. They may be orbital colonies that orbit Earth or other planets or moons, or they may actually be colonies on other planets or moons. Colonies are intended to be settlements, cities in space where families live, work, and play. In Build a Colony, children’s imaginations soar as they design and build miniature colonies in teams. The models are presented to the other teams and put on display for the library. The activities are suitable for children ages 8-13 unless otherwise noted in the “activities” section.
