Water, energy, nutrients, atmosphere, and temperature are all factors that influence the habitability of a planet or moon…and our own Earth! In this suite of activities, a cooperative board game introduces children to the challenges of designing a planet that can support life. Children go on to design their own cross-sections of habitable—or uninhabitable—planets using craft materials. The activities are suitable for children ages 8-13 unless otherwise noted in the “activities” section.
