Cosmic Questions Educators' Guide
This 74 page booklet contains 8 activities for understanding key astronomical concepts. Activities related to the origins of the Universe include:"Modeling the Expanding Universe" and " Evidence for the Expanding Universe" in which students create conceptual models of the expanding universe and use actual galactic spectra to calculate the movement of galaxies through space.

The Expanding Universe
This activity is designed to help students gain a deeper understanding of cosmology.  Students develop authentic models and gather evidence supporting the Big Bang theory.  This lesson uses observation, interactive media, and scientific models. Geared for high school, rather than 8th grade.
