Planetary Data in Learning Environments
A Community Workshop
Monday, August 1, 2005

Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, California

On August 1st, 2005, formal and informal educators, curriculum and product developers, planetary data providers, and space science researchers met at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory to:

  • Increase awareness of the range of Earth and planetary science programs, tools, and data resources that exist, from which to draw experiences, and with which to make connections,
  • Build knowledge about key features of a successful PDE program
  • Reflect on a specific application of best practices in the design or implementation of a new program or improvement of an existing program

Discussion among the participants helps to realize NASA's goal to make its space science content engaging and available to educators, students, and the general public. The workshop was co-hosted by SCORE and the Solar System Exploration Forum.
