Year of the Solar System: Gravity
This NASA site has background information, activities, videos, animations, interactives, and more related to gravity.
An interactive gravity modeler that can simulate a solar system, and allows you to drag the planets into new parameters.
Astronomy Simulations and Animations
A compilation of various online programs on astronomical topics. This site includes links to several lunar phases simulators, an eclipse simulator, and more.
From Apples to Orbits: The Gravity Story
This is a ThinkQuest entry that provides a comprehensive and interactive learning guide on the topic of gravity. The content of this website covers many gravity-related topics, including sections on the physics of gravity, the history of gravitational theory, large scale and small scale effects of gravity and gravity and the human body.
How Much Would You Weigh on Distant Planets?
Students in the middle level solar system activity will study the effects of gravity on the planets of the Solar System. They will view movies from the lunar Apollo missions, calculate their own weight on other planets, and propose what they might weigh on newly discovered planets around other stars.
How Much Do You Weigh?
Students calculate their weight on different planets in this activity by the Hawaii Space Grant.
