Ideas from Successful Science Programs in Libraries

Postby laconte » Fri Jul 15, 2011 12:52 pm

Looking for new programming ideas and ways to connect children to your non-fiction resources? The blog article "Summer Reading and Summer Science," by Deborah Lee Rose, features the GlaxoSmithKline’s Science in the Summer program for children in North Carolina and Pennsylvania (http://howtosmile.org/blog/posts/summer_reading). Here are some great ideas for bringing science to the library!

The author also has a list of "Children's book connections" at http://www.howtosmile.org/user/lists/list/4743, which may provide some ideas for expanding on children's books through activities.
