Citizen Science Project to Find New Icy Bodies

Postby laconte » Thu Aug 04, 2011 2:00 pm

The world is invited to help discover a potential new, icy follow-on destination for NASA's New Horizons spacecraft. New Horizons is currently en route to make the first flyby of the Pluto system, and is then capable of making additional explorations of bodies still farther out in the Sun's Kuiper Belt. Families, older children, and adults may enjoy contributing to real science through this online activity at http://www.icehunters.org/. (Free account setup required.)
