Resource: Explore Comets Resources Updated

Postby laconte » Fri Nov 02, 2012 5:12 pm

The resources section of Explore: Comets has been updated! We hope you find the websites and books (and for Apple fans, an iPhone/iPad app comet game) useful for your programs!

For hands-on activities about comets, visit:

- www.lpi.usra.edu/education/space_days/a ... es/comets/

The newly discovered C/2012 S1 (ISON) has been in the news since its discovery in September. Comet ISON could potentially develop a spectacular tail in Fall 2013 as it approaches the Sun -- or it could break up into pieces. Find a picture of this comet, which currently appears as a dim spot in the sky, at http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap121001.html.
