The HEDS-UP Forum held May 4-5, 2000 at the Lunar and Planetary Institute was once again a resounding success. The presentations of work done by the universities were excellent and a number of NASA and Industry representatives provided feedback to the university efforts. The flavor of the Forum can be discovered by looking at some of the pictures taken during the Forum. Each of the university papers can be accessed through the Table of Contents and a participants list is provided below. The preface to the LPI report that documents the Forum is also provided.

The presentation by the Colorado School of Mines team was awarded first place among undergraduate teams, the University of Maryland received second place, and the teams from Caltech and Penn State tied for third. Georgia Tech was awarded a first place plaque for their graduate team submission.

A hard copy of this report may be obtained from the Lunar and Planetary Institute, 3600 Bay Area Blvd., Houston, Texas. Please contact Dr. Kathleen Johnson (Phone: 281-244-2014, email johnson@lpi.usra.edu).
