My research is focused on determining the effects oxygen fugacity has on melting and crystallization in magmatic systems on Earth and Mars. To achieve this goal, I utilize both experimental and analytical methods to quantify the relationship between ferric and ferrous iron and oxygen fugacity in a variety of phases and regimes.
