Research on
- Impact-generated hydrothermal systems both on Mars and Earth with special emphasis on the minerals formed; modeling mineral reactions in these systems and comparing the results to data available from spacecraft missions and terrestrial studies
- Martian meteorites (noble gases, especially changes in their signatures due to processes acting on the rocks after their formation on Mars and the meteorites after their launch from Mars)
- Terrestrial analog and laboratory studies on changes in the noble gas budget due to weathering and impact processes
