Description12001 is <1 cm fraction of bulk regolith collected about 30 meters northwest of the LM on the first EVA traverse. Astronaut Conrad saw several beads of pure glass while collecting this sample. Fryxell reports that the fines are weakly coherent; they adhere to rocks and do not slump when the sample holder is tipped 45 degrees.
