DescriptionSoil 64420 was collected with breccia 64475 at Station 4A near Cinco B crater, 5 meters from the LRV on the floor of a subdued 15 meter crater. The soil was taken from the bottom of a 25 cm trench. At the sample area, 5-10 cm pebbles are abundant, 20-40 cm cobbles are common and meter size blocks are sparsely scattered. Scattered craters up to several meters in size are common in the general area. This regolith is probably South Ray ejecta mixed with underlying Descartes material.
