LPI’s professional staff works in partnership with members of the planetary science community in producing successful and cost-effective workshops and conferences as a means of disseminating research.

To enable the scientific organizer to focus on content and structure, we provide logistical services in sponsorship of meeting objectives that fall within the scope of the Institute’s mission.

We can help you with . . .

Scheduling:  We will work with you to develop tasks and timelines for your meeting.

Advertising:  We will use our extensive database of members of the planetary science community to reach potential participants.

Negotiating:  We will establish proposals, bids, and contracts with conference facilities and vendors to obtain the optimal value for your meeting venue.

Budgeting: Our experienced staff can plan budgets that are realistic and meet established guidelines.

Implementing:  We can guide you in every step of implementing the objectives for your meeting.

Managing:  We will be there to take care of the logistical details so that you don’t have to.

Here are some of the details our staff will provide . . .

Website:  Our website provides the means for distributing information, receiving abstracts, registering participants, and publishing meeting schedules and presentations.

Presenter coordination:  We provide expertise for program committee review, scheduling of abstracts, and formation of sessions.

Event materials:  We can create and provide logos, program booklets, abstract volumes or CD-ROMs, name badges, and signs.

Onsite administration:  We can provide coordination, monitoring, and troubleshooting for all your onsite logistical needs, e.g., room setup, catering, audiovisual requirements, transportation, registration, etc.
