Airport Information

The Houston area is serviced by two major airports: Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) (22 miles from the meeting venue) and Hobby Airport (HOU) (40.0 miles from the meeting venue).

The conference hotel does not provide shuttle service to/from the airports. Attendees have the following options:

Galveston Transportation Service (800-640-4826) provides ongoing transportation to the local airports. Please contact them directly for pricing and mention that you are attending the Lunar and Planetary Science Conference. (Galveston Transportation is the official conference shuttle provider, and they will have a courtesy desk onsite during the conference for participants needing to make airport transportation arrangements for their return trip.)

SuperShuttle is available from Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) or Hobby Airport (HOU). Estimated rates are $23.00 from IAH and $45.00 from Hobby (HOU). USRA/LPI has secured discounts for LPSC attendees from the airports to the Woodlands Waterway Marriott. These discounts DO NOT apply to other hotels in the surrounding area. If you do not make your reservations in advance, be sure to print out the flyer and take it with you to the SuperShuttle ticket counter when you arrive in Houston.

*Tip: Since the SuperShuttle discount is only valid for transportation to the Woodlands Waterway Marriott and may charge substantially higher fees to the surrounding hotels (especially those north of the conference venue), if your arrival coincides with the times the conference shuttle is running, you may want to consider taking SuperShuttle to The Woodlands Waterway Marriott, then taking the conference shuttle to your hotel.
