The 47th Lunar and Planetary Science Conference will be held at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center, The Woodlands, Texas, March 21–25, 2016.

Important note about the conference dates:  As many of you have no doubt noticed, LPSC 2016 falls on the week of March 21–25. While these dates correspond to the week leading up to Easter, they did provide us with optimal (if not ideal) arrangements with area hotels, an issue of concern as expressed by attendees last year. As Easter weekend is a busy travel time, the current plan is to arrange the schedule so that we can have the regular number of oral sessions but be able to conclude the meeting at noon on Friday.

This conference brings together international specialists in petrology, geochemistry, geophysics, geology, and astronomy to present the latest results of research in planetary science. The five-day conference will be organized by topical symposia and problem-oriented sessions.
