JOB OPPORTUNITY: POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW – EARTH, ATMOSPHERIC, AND PLANETARY SCIENCES AT MIT

W.O. Crosby Postdoctoral Fellowship

The W. O. Crosby Postdoctoral Fellowship supports exceptional early-career scientists with research interests in the fields of geology, geochemistry, or geobiology. Crosby Fellows pursue independent research but typically also collaborate with one or more researchers in the department. A faculty mentor hosts each fellow and provides professional guidance.

The program appoints one new fellow each year through a competitive process. Appointments are for two years, contingent on good progress during the first year. Fellows receive a stipend of $62,000 plus an additional annual allowance of up to $7,000 to be used for research, relocation, and health care expenses. Fellows are eligible to participate in MIT’s Affiliate health plan.
