EGU 2016 SESSION: SUBGLACIAL LANDFORMS AND ESPL SPECIAL ISSUE

Please note, there will be a ‘Subglacial Landform and Terrain Morphometry, Genesis, and Glaciological Significance’ session at the EGU 2016 assembly, and the abstract submission deadline is January 13th 2016, 13:00h CET. Full session description at:

The session will host two invited talks:

– Geomorphology of ice stream beds: recent progress and future
challenges, by Chris Stokes (University of Durham); and

– Eskers and other evidence of wet-based glaciation in Phlegra Montes,
Mars, by Colman Gallagher (University College Dublin).

Additionally, the session will lead to a special issue in the journal Earth Surface Processes and Landforms (IF: 2.845) on the subglacial landscapes/landforms and morphogenesis general theme. Participation in this publication will be open to everyone (not restricted to EGU2016 participants). If you plan to contribute with a submission, consider letting us know as soon as possible.
