Job Opportunity: Postdoctoral Research Assistant, Planetary Aeolian Science

The Earth and Planetary Sciences Department, University of Tennessee, invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher in planetary aeolian science.  Research will focus on use of the planetary wind tunnel facilities at the NASA Ames Research Center, Mountain View, CA, and may also include spacecraft data analyses.  The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to on-going wind tunnel investigations and to develop new areas of research.  Applicants should have a PhD in the physical sciences (planetary science, geology, physics, or related fields).

The position will be located at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN, and will involve semi-annual travel to the NASA Ames Research Center in California.

The initial appointment is for one year, with possible renewal for an additional year, and includes a competitive salary and benefits package.  Review of applications will begin July 1, 2016, and the position will remain open until filled.
