The George Mason University Department of Physics and Astronomy invites candidates a tenure-track faculty position in Extrasolar Planets. Responsibilities:
The successful candidate is expected to carry out a vigorous and externally funded research program; teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels; and provide service activities.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. in physics, astronomy, or a closely related field, prior to the first day of this appointment. Well-qualified candidates will have postdoctoral research experience and show promise for developing an independent and externally funded research program. Consideration for expertise in observational and theoretical studies of extrasolar planets including detection, characterization and formation and evolution.
