Vertical temperature profiles calculated at 2-bar surface pressure and present solar luminosity for the standard, radiative-convective (R-C) model (which neglects CO2 condensation) and for the simplified climate model (which includes it). The standard R-C model is greatly supersaturated with CO2 in the 20- to 40-km region.
