15. Crater Lacking Ejecta
Slides 13–17 show craters of similar size (25–27 km in diameter) in various stages of degradation. The amount of detail seen in the crater rim, interior, and ejecta blanket is a good indication of relative crater age.

15. Crater Lacking Ejecta

This crater (26-km diameter) has existed long enough for all traces of its ejecta blanket to be eroded away. Interior features, visible in the previous two slides, are not seen in this crater, possibly due to infilling of the bowl by the material blanketing the surrounding plains.
