This view is part of a Voyager mosaic of Io and measures ~1250 kilometers across. Io is roughly 3630 kilometers across and is the third largest of Jupiter's four major satellites. Io is similar in size to Earth's Moon and is composed of rocky material and minor amounts of sulfur.
