When submitting a terrestrial analog site to discuss at this workshop , please include the information below.

REQUESTED INFORMATION

1. Site location and relevance (e.g. what materials are present, and why are they important to study?).

2. Public spectral data sets: what already exists (lab, field, etc.), and what documentation?

3. Private spectral data: What data sets do you have that you are interested in sharing, and what resources would be necessary to put the data into the public domain?

4. Recommended instrumentation (e.g. field, airborne, wavelength range, viewing geometry, spatial, spectral resolution, etc.).

5. Recommended measurement protocols (e.g. access during measurement of new field data, viewing geometry,...).

6. Data distribution issues (e.g. preferred format, distribution methods...).

7. Site access: are there any issues that limit site access? (e.g. distance, protected land,...)

Sites and instruments submitted by Nov 8th will be added to the Dec discussion.

The information will be included at the workshop, in order to address the workshop questions:
1. What public airborne and field visible/infrared data sets are most needed to support timely interpretations of current and planned data sets of Mars?

2. What is needed to motivate and facilitate the transfer of private spectral data bases into the public domain?
