Student Travel Support

4th Meeting of the Venus Exploration and Analysis Group (VEXAG)
November 4 (half-day) –November 5 (full-day) 2007
Greenbelt Marriott Hotel
Greenbelt, MD

NASA will provide support for travel of up to three (3) students from any city in the US to the Fourth VEXAG Community Meeting which will be held in Greenbelt, Maryland on November 4 (half-day) and November 5 (full-day) 2007. Expenses for airfare (coach class), accommodation, meals and airport transfers will be covered. Graduate students and exceptionally qualified undergraduate seniors are eligible.

It is anticipated that students selected to receive travel funds will present a poster at the meeting summarizing their current research activities.

In order to apply for the support, the student should send electronically the following material to Steve Mackwell, no later than October 15, 2007.

Application Material Required (preferably by e-mail):

1. One page CV, including a list of Advanced Physical Science/Engineering courses taken, research projects, and cumulative GPA.

2. One page description on how your participation in the VEXAG meeting will benefit (a) you professionally, (b) NASA's goals of planetary exploration, in general, in Venus, in particular.

3. One letter of evaluation from a faculty advisor.
