  Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Beaudoin joined the LPI Science Engagement team as a Science Engagement Specialist in May 2021. She assists with the planning, promotion, and implementation of the EPE team’s virtual and in-person events and is coordinating new programs that will support the professional development of students and early-career scientists in the planetary science community. Grace serves as National Team Coordinator on the International Observe the Moon Night Coordinating Committee.

Beaudoin holds a B.A. in Geology from the University of California at Berkeley and a Ph.D. in Geological Sciences from the Jackson School of Geosciences at the University of Texas at Austin. As a graduate student, Grace used geochemical techniques to study metamorphic processes at tectonic margins as part of an NSF PIRE (Partnerships for International Research and Education) project. Collaborating with scientists from around the world, teaching undergraduate earth science classes, and volunteering at public STEM events helped Grace discover her passion for education and science communication.
