Connect to the Moon
Connect to the Moon contains resources for inquisitive people, teachers, students, and informal educators.

Fly Me to the Moon: Online Gallery
These online galleries communicate how scientists are studying lunar rocks to uncover the Moon’s formation and evolution and how going to the Moon is in some ways similar to a camping trip.

International Observe the Moon Night
Be a part of this annual worldwide public event that encourages observation, appreciation, and understanding of the Earth’s Moon.

For Teachers

Rocks, Soils, and Surfaces
The Rocks, Soils, and Surfaces activity is designed to introduce students to rocks, “soils”, and surfaces on planetary worlds, through the exploration of lunar samples collected by Apollo astronauts and through the study of the most dominant geologic process across the solar system, the impact process.

Exploring the Lunar Surface (Grades 3–5)
This book was created by SpaceMath@NASA so that younger students can explore the lunar surface through the many photographic resources that have been collected by NASA over the years.

Moon Mining Activity (Grades 3–5)
This lesson simulates the locating and the mining of ilmenite for oxygen on the Moon.

Lunar Math (Grades 5–12)
This collection of activities is based on a weekly series of space science problems distributed to thousands of teachers during the 2005-2012 school years. They were intended for students looking for additional challenges in the math and physical science curriculum in
grades 5 through 12.

Exploring the Moon (5–12)
Produced by the Astromaterials Research and Exploration Science directorate at NASA Johnson Space Center, these materials have been designed for use in upper elementary through high schools especially, but not exclusively, with the Lunar Sample Disk.

Lunar Nautics (Grades 6–8)
Lunar Nautics Student Handbook
Lunar Nautics is a hands-on curriculum targeted to youth in grades 6 to 8, that allows students to design, test, analyze and manage a space mission from initial concept to project funding.
