Family-Friendly Virtual Program on December 12

Credit: NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.

The Lunar and Planetary Institute is pleased to conduct this free, 30-minute virtual program for families and children. Meet Dr. Sean O’Hara, Postdoctoral Fellow, and hear about ice volcanoes on Pluto and features on other icy moons in the outer solar system. Following the presentation, join us as we investigate these features with a fun demonstration, and Q&A with Dr. O’Hara.

Dr. Sean O’Hara is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Lunar and Planetary Institute. He creates models and simulations to study the formation of features on planets and moons, such as the large volcanoes on Venus. He is especially interested in the icy planetary bodies of the outer solar system.
