Alcanzando las Estrellas: Webinars en español sobre las ciencias planetarias y carreras

El Instituto Lunar y Planetario (LPI) está lanzando una nueva serie de seminarios web en español, Alcanzando las Estrellas. Cada seminario web de 60 minutos contará con una discusión de temas y carreras de ciencia planetaria. ¡Los estudiantes, educadores y miembros de la comunidad están invitados a aprender más sobre el emocionante campo de ciencia planetaria!
Conéctense el Martes, 14 de febrero para escuchar al Dr. Germán Martínez, mánager y científico sénior titular del Instituto Lunar y Planetario. La investigación de Germán se centra en el estudio de las condiciones meteorológicas cercanas a la superficie de Marte. Durante su presentación, Germán compartirá los aspectos más relevantes de su trabajo en la misión Mars 2020, incluyendo cómo manejar un rover en otro planeta. Después de su presentación, habrá tiempo para preguntas.
Este evento se realizará de manera virtual el martes 14 de febrero a las 5 p.m. EST / 4 p.m. CST / 3 p.m. MST / 2 p.m. PST. El seminario web se grabará y estará disponible en línea en el canal de YouTube de LPI.

Reaching the Stars: Spanish webinars about planetary science and careers

The Lunar and Planetary Institute (LPI) has launched a new series of webinars in Spanish, Alcanzando las Estrellas. Each 60-minute webinar will feature a discussion of planetary science topics and careers. Spanish-speaking students, educators, and community members are invited to learn more about the exciting field of planetary science!
Tune in on Tuesday, February 14 to hear from Dr. Germán Martínez. Dr. Martínez is a senior staff scientist and manager at the Lunar and Planetary Institute where he studies Mars. His work focuses on understanding the environmental surface conditions (like weather and radiation) of the Red Planet. During his presentation, Dr. Martínez will share highlights from his time working on NASA’s Mars 2020 mission, including how to drive a rover on another planet! After the presentation, there will be time for questions.
This event will be held virtually on Tuesday, February 14 at 5 p.m. EST / 4 p.m. CST / 3 p.m. MST / 2 p.m. PST. The webinar will be recorded and available online on the LPI YouTube channel.
