The Lunar and Planetary Institute (LPI) is proud to announce the winners of the LPI Career Development Award. Recipients of the award will receive a travel stipend to defray the costs associated with attending the 39th Lunar and Planetary Science Conference (LPSC).
This was the first year the LPI has offered the Career Development Award; the applicant pool was surprisingly large, and the selection process extremely competitive. Congratulations to the following award winners, whose hard work and distinguished achievements set them apart from an impressive field of competitors:
Jemma Davidson The Open University |
Samantha Jones University of Calgary |
Lauren Wye Stanford University |
Tasha Dunn University of Tennessee |
Melissa Rice Cornell University |
Shyama Narendranath Indian Space Research Organization Center |
The LPI is managed by the Universities Space Research Association (USRA), which operates programs and institutes focused on research and education in space-related science and engineering disciplines. Institutional membership in USRA now stands at 101 leading research universities.
This award is made possible by the LPI Endowment, which was established as a result of the generous donations of individuals who are committed to helping further the education of students. All contributions to the Endowment are tax-deductible. Anyone interested in contributing to this effort should contact Dr. Stephen Mackwell, LPI Director, at [email protected].
