NASA Announces Jim Green as Director, Planetary Science Division

During the Sciences portion of the NASA Budget Briefing held today in Washington, DC, NASA announced the appointment of Dr. James Green to the position of Director, Planetary Science Division. Green has served as Acting Director since the departure of Andrew Dantzler in June 2006. For more information about Green, see the interview published in the November 2006 issue of the Lunar and Planetary Bulletin.
We extend our congratulations to Dr. Green. The community will have an opportunity to interact with him at the upcoming Lunar and Planetary Science Conference. Green plans to be in attendance throughout the entire week, and will speak at the Monday evening NASA Headquarters Briefing.
