New Ways of Protecting Astronomical Equipment and Solar Batteries of Spacecrafts

The problems of protecting optical and protective glasses are dealt
with. The solutions are recommended regarding the contaminant gas
cloud of spacecraft, space debris, particles from ERE (electric
rocket engines). New solutions are discussed as (i) the use of
induced magnetic fields for deflection of charged particles,
(ii) shielding from particles by specially generated gas cloud.
The results can significantly impact the direction of future
research in the field of protection of astronomical and geophysical
sites.
