THE SATURDAY GALA IN GALVESTON To celebrate a successful workshop, a fun and relaxing evening of merriment in historic Galveston, Texas, has been scheduled for the evening of Saturday, February 7.BANQUET —
The banquet will be at Fisherman's Wharf on Galveston's harbor front, and will feature a four-course buffet, including several Gulf Coast specialties (vegetarian selections will be available on request). Dinner will be at approximately 7:00 p.m., following a cash bar. Transportation to Galveston will be by bus, the cost of which will be included in the banquet cost.EVENING SOCIAL —
After dinner, you are invited to visit Galveston's Historic Theatre District. The numerous fine establishments will allow you time to relax, converse, and sample the local brews. The district is within walking distance of the restaraunt, and maps will be provided to help you find your way around. The bus will return to Clear Lake (LPI) no later than midnight.REGISTRATION —
Registration for the banquet/social is through the organizing committee (not the regular registration Web site). Please e-mail your interest in participating in this fun evening to Dr. Paul Schenk. Reservations by February 1 are desirable, although you may sign up during the workshop. The total cost is expected to be between $40 and $45. Payment will be collected by Drs. Schenk, Prockter, or Nimmo during the meeting.
