Name: GALATIA

Place of find: About 7 km ENE of Galatia, Barton County, Kansas, USA.

38°38.5'N., 98°53'W.

Date of find: August 8, 1971.

Class and type: Stone. Olivine-hypersthene chondrite (L6). Olivine Fa24.9.

Number of individual

specimens: 1

Total weight: 23.9 kg

Circumstances of find: Found by Mr. Vernon DeWald in 1971 and identified as a meteorite by W.R. Van Schmus in 1976.
