Gasseltepaoua Soum, Djibo, Burkina Faso Fell 2000 August 22 Ordinary chondrite (H5) A fist-sized stone (weight unknown) was seen to fall by farmers working outdoors in the village of Gasseltepaoua, northern Burkina Faso. Mineralogy and classification (M. Bourot-Denise, MNHNP): Ordinary chondrite, H5 (Fa19.2 Fs17.1), S4, W1. Specimens: type specimen, 16.7 g, MNHNP; main mass, Museum of Bureau of Mines and Geology of Burkina Faso in Ouagadougou. | ||||||||||||
