Found 1991 June

Stone, ureilite

A stone of 58 g was found in a clay pan on red clay, mostly covered by red brown fusion crust. Type specimen, classification and analysis, large olivine crystals Fa18.3 (with 0.54% Cr2O3, 0.13% CaO) in opaque matrix with graphite and little metal, Ni 1.6-4.9%, J. Otto, Mineralogical Institute, Universitat Freiburg, Albertstrasse 23b, D-7800 Freiburg, Germany. Information and main mass, Swiss Meteorite Laboratory, P. 0. Box 126, CH8750 Glarus, Switzerland.
