DISCOVERY OF THE IVANOVKA, USSR, STONY METEORITE

Name: IVANOVKA

Place of find: 1 km south-east of the Ivanovka village, Leninogorsk District, Tatar ASSR, USSR.

54°30'N., 52°48'E.

Date of find: August 31, 1983.

Class and type: Stone. Chondrite.

Number of individual

Specimens: 1

Total weight: 8870 g

Circumstances of find: The meteorite lay on the edge of a ploughed field, it was found by pupils of the local secondary school, V.I. Grigor'yev and R.A. Yudin.
