Macroscopic Description: Cecilia Satterwhite This light grayish-green colored achondrite has dull, black, patchy fusion crust scattered over the exterior. The crystalline interior surfaces are more greenish-gray in color. A minor amount of metal is visible in the medium to coarse grained textured matrix.
Thin Section (,8) Description: Brian Mason The section consists of orthopyroxene clasts, up to 3.6 mm in maximum dimension, in a groundmass of comminuted orthopyroxene. Pyroxene compositions are essentially uniform, Wo2Fs23, with Al2O3 0.5%, MnO 0.6%. This meteorite is a diogenite.
