DISCOVERY OF THE LAUNDRY ROCKHOLE, AUSTRALIA, STONY METEORITE Name: LAUNDRY ROCKHOLE Place of find: Near the roadside at the SE corner of the enclosure fence surrounding Laundry Rockhole, 25 miles N of Madura on the road to Loongana station on the Trans-Australian Railway, Western Australia. 31°32'S, 127°01'E. Date of find: June, 1967 Class and type: Stone. Olivine-bronzite chondrite (H5). Number of individual specimens: 32 Total weight: 1.44 kg Circumstances of find: Found by M.K. Quartermaine, Kalgoorlie School of Mines, Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. Source: G.J.H. McCall and W.H. Cleverly. 1970.
