Lemmon Perkins County, South Dakota, USA Found before 1984, recognized 1998 Ordinary chondrite (H5) An 6.68 kg stone was found beside a fence post by a woman; she placed the stone along her driveway border. It was recogniz ed by Mr. Allen Shaw, who was conducting a house-to-house search for meteorites. Classification and mineralogy (A. Rubin, UCLA): olivine, Fa19.1; shock stage, S1; weathering grade, W3. Specimens: type specimen, 21 g, UCLA; main mass, AShaw. | ||||||||||||||||||
