Macroscopic Description: Kathleen McBride
100% of the exterior is covered with brown/black fusion crust. Some fractures and oxidation haloes are visible. The interior is a black and rust colored matrix with a high metal content. The matrix contains light colored clasts. Some of these clasts are stained with rust. Their sizes ranges from 2 mm - 1 cm in diameter.

Thin Section (, 2) Description: Tim McCoy

MET 00570 - Plane-Polarized Light MET 00570 - Cross-Polarized Light
Plane-Polarized Light Cross-Polarized Light
The section exhibits numerous chondrules (up to 2 mm), metal and troilite. Chondrules appear somewhat aligned. Terrestrial iron oxides stain the silicates. Olivines range from Fa13-19 and pyroxenes from Fs12-17. The meteorite is an H3 chondrite (estimated subtype 3.8).
