Nova 003 Location uncertain Synonym: Window Butte Found 1991 Achondrite (brachinite) One piece of 187 g was found. Information, classification and analysis, olivine Fa31.5, orthopyroxene Wo24En72.1, clinopyroxene Wo45En44, plagioclase An33.3, Martin Prinz, American Museum of Natural History, New York, New York 10024, USA. Oxygen isotopes fall in brachinite field, Nehru et al.(1992). Main mass, R. E. Farrell, P. O. Box 3726, New Haven, Connecticut 06525, USA. The Meteorite Nomenclature Committee decided to name this meteorite Nova 003 because of uncertainty in the discovery location. Nova 003 may be paired with Reid 013. | ||||||||||||||||
