Physical Description: Roberta Score

The exterior of the stone is totally covered with a dull fusion crust, while the interior of the stone is 95% weathered. A few inclusions are apparent in the unweathered material. Dimensions: 3 x 3 x 1.5 cm.


Petrographic Description: Brian Mason

Chondritic structure is well-developed, with chondrules ranging from 0.4-1.9 mm in diameter; one large pyroxene chondrule, 3.1 mm across, was noted. The groundmass between the chondrules consists largely of granular olivine and pyroxene, with minor amounts of nickel-iron and troilite. Fusion crust, up to 0.6 mm thick, partly rims the section. Brown limonitic staining is present throughout. Microprobe analyses gave the following compositions: olivine, Fa18; pyroxene, Fs16. The meteorite is classified as an H5 chondrite.
