Macroscopic Description: Kathleen McBride Thin Sections (QUE97003,5; 97005,5) Description: Tim McCoy
A single description can be given for these sections. They consist of small chondrules (up to 0.8 mm), aggregates and mineral grains in a black matrix. Olivine compositions range from Fa0-46, with most Fa0-2. Low-Ca pyroxene is Fs1-2. The matrix is composed dominantly of Fe-rich serpentine. The meteorites are C2 chondrites and pairing with the QUE 93004 pairing group is possible. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
