DISCOVERY OF ALMELO TOWNSHIP STONY METEORITE, USA Name: ALMELO TOWNSHIP. The place of fall or discovery: New Almelo, Kansas, USA; φ =39°36' N, λ =100'07'W. Date of fall or discovery: FOUND, 1949. Class and type: STONY, olivine-pigeonite chondrite. Number of individual specimens: 1. Total weight: 3.18 kg. Circumstances of the fall or discovery: Found by Rev. E. J. Sanders in church yard.
