FALL OF THE TOMIYA, JAPAN, STONY METEORITE Name: TOMIYA Place of fall: Tomiya-cho, Kurokawa-gun, Miyagi-ken, Honshu, Japan. 38°22'N., 140°51'56"E. Date of fall: August 22, 1984, 1335 hrs. Class and type: Stone. Olivine-bronzite chondrite (H4-5). Olivine Fa184. Number of individual specimens: 2 Total weight: 27.5 g Circumstances of fall: After a noise, a small stone, 19.2 g, was seen to fall on the veranda of a house.
