A-87106 (mesosiderite)
The section is composed of granular to angular orthopyroxne and minor plagioclase, and irregular metal grains up to 1 mm, set in a recrystallized matrix. Some orthopyroxene grains contain inclusions of plagioclase and silica minerals. Pyroxene shows sharp optical extinction and no shock effects are observed. | ||||||||||||||||
